Vitamins For Acne
Unfortunately it is not well known that Vitamins are in fact the best way to treat acne. There are many commercials for topical creams & pads that have little effect and almost no advertising for the much more effective vitamins for acne. Why is this? Well I have a few theories mostly having to do with greed.
The prescription acne medication Accutane is actually a derivative of Vitamin A. As I've previously mentioned Accutane is widely considered to be the most effective acne treatment available but it's usually only prescribed in very severe cases because of all of the negative side effects associated with it's use. These side effects include irritated skin and dry eyes. Accutane prescriptions are hard to get and Accutane is also quite expensive.
Accutane is a brand name. The scientific name for this medication is isotretinoin. Originally Accutane was the only brand name for isotretinoin but the original patent ran out and now there are others such as Amnesteem, Claravis, Sotret, and Roaccutane.
Vitamin B5 is the second most effective vitamin for acne and unlike Accutane it has little side effects and is much cheaper. Vitamin B5 can be purchased under the brand name Vilantae. This product also includes other B vitamins in it's formula because they increase the effectiveness of the B5. Vitamin B5 is also known as Pantothenic Acid. It's also sometimes referred to as calcium-D-pantothenate! Don't ask me why it must have so many times. But by whatever name you call Vitamin B5 it is extremely effective as an acne treatment. I've also found from my own use of it that it's causes an increase in clarity and energy. The side effects are minimal and seem to dissipate as you get used to taking the vitamins. I found some slight stomach irritation when I first started taking Vitamin B5.
I highly recommend Vitamin B5 & B Complex Vitamins for the treatment of Acne in the form of Vilantae. A great feature of this product is that it's available in both capsule and liquid form. This is good because some people do not like taking capsules.
